Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 5, 2026 · Version 1.1
This Privacy Policy describes how Nomadix Apps LLC ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the TrayHabit mobile application ("the App"). TrayHabit is built around a simple principle: your health-related data is yours. The App is designed to work without accounts and without advertising.
Summary: your wear history — sessions, durations, calendar, statistics — is stored on your device, and we cannot see it. The App sends us only anonymous, aggregated signals: purchase records needed to run subscriptions, anonymous usage analytics, and crash reports. None of it is linked to your identity, sold, or used for advertising.
1. Who we are
Nomadix Apps LLC is the developer and publisher of TrayHabit and, where applicable data-protection law uses the term, the "data controller" for the limited processing described in this policy. Contact: info@nomadixapps.org.
2. Information stored on your device
The following information is created and stored locally on your device only:
- Wear sessions — when you put your aligners in and take them out, and the durations calculated from that;
- Your aligner (tray) list, change schedule, and daily wear goal;
- Calendar history, statistics, streaks, and achievements derived from your sessions;
- App preferences such as theme and notification settings.
The contents of your wear history are not transmitted to us or to anyone else — there is no account and no cloud copy. The App does report anonymous usage events (for example, the fact that a wear session was started), as described in Section 4; those events never include your history, goals, or any identifying information. If you use an iOS device backup (for example, an encrypted local or iCloud device backup managed by Apple), your App data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms — this is controlled entirely by your iOS settings, not by the App.
3. Information processed when you make a purchase
TrayHabit offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("TrayHabit Pro"). Payments are handled by Apple through your Apple ID; we never receive your name, billing address, or payment card details.
To validate purchases and manage subscription entitlements, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc. ("RevenueCat"), a subscription-infrastructure provider based in the United States. When you interact with the paywall or make a purchase, RevenueCat processes on our behalf:
- a randomly generated anonymous identifier created for your copy of the App (not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID);
- Apple transaction and receipt data (product identifier, purchase and expiration dates, subscription status);
- basic device and app information (device model, iOS version, App version, locale, and currency);
- your IP address, processed transiently to deliver the service and prevent fraud.
This data is used solely to provide subscription functionality (unlocking Pro features, restoring purchases, handling renewals and refunds) and for aggregate, non-identifying revenue statistics. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details. We do not sell or share this data for advertising purposes.
4. Product analytics and crash reports
To understand how the App is used and to fix problems quickly, the App uses PostHog, an analytics service, hosted in the European Union (PostHog EU). PostHog processes on our behalf:
- a randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and separate from your device's advertising identifier — the App does not use advertising identifiers at all);
- product interaction events, such as "onboarding completed", "a wear session was started", "paywall shown", or "purchase completed" — never the contents of your wear history, goals, or notes;
- anonymized session replays — visual snapshots of App screens used to diagnose usability problems and bugs. All text and images are masked by default before leaving the device;
- crash and error reports (stack traces with device model, iOS version, and App version);
- basic device and app information (device model, iOS version, App version, locale).
This data is used exclusively to improve the App: it is not used for advertising, not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and never sold or shared with data brokers. See the PostHog Privacy Policy for details.
5. What we do NOT collect
- No account or registration — the App has none;
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers (the App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track you across apps or websites);
- No contacts, location, photos, microphone, or camera access;
- No integration with HealthKit or any health-data platform;
- No selling or sharing of personal information — with anyone, for any purpose.
6. Notifications
Reminders — for example, when your aligners have been out for too long or when it is time to switch trays — are scheduled locally on your device by the App. They do not involve any server. Notification permission is optional, and you can change it at any time in iOS Settings.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because your wear history exists only on your device, you control it completely: deleting the App deletes all locally stored data. Anonymous subscription records held by RevenueCat, and anonymous analytics data held by PostHog, are retained as required to operate the service and meet legal obligations; you may request their deletion as described in Section 8. Records held by Apple are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold no data that identifies you, most of these rights are exercised simply by managing the App and your device. For the anonymous records described in Sections 3 and 4, contact us at info@nomadixapps.org and we will delete the records associated with your anonymous identifiers or assist you with any other request. We do not sell or share personal information within the meaning of the CCPA, and we do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. International data transfers
Analytics and crash data (Section 4) is processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union. The limited purchase data described in Section 3 is processed by RevenueCat in the United States; RevenueCat provides appropriate contractual safeguards for international transfers (including standard contractual clauses) as described in its Data Processing Agreement.
10. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App collects no identifying data, and all wear-tracking data stays on the device.
11. Security
Your wear history is protected by the security architecture of iOS, including device encryption and app sandboxing. All data described in Sections 3 and 4 is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).
12. Health disclaimer
TrayHabit is a self-tracking tool. Wear-time records are informational only; the App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the instructions of your orthodontist or dentist.
13. Changes to this policy
If the App's data practices change — for example, if optional iCloud sync or advertising for free users is introduced — we will update this policy, revise the effective date above, and, for material changes, provide notice in the App before the change takes effect. Previous versions are available in the site's public history.
